| Homework: |
about one problem set for each unit (for list of units, see web site); due as announced (in general, one week after we are done with the corresponding material). You will receive 50% credit for late homework.

| Tests: | There will be a test following each homework set. Each test will be based on homework, closed book, in class, and last 30'. Exact dates will be announced in class, generally a few days after the corresponding homework set is due. |
| Attendance: |
Attendance and participation in class discussions are expected. Participation includes taking notes, asking and answering questions, going over your notes after class, and asking further questions until everything is clear. |

40% homework; 40% tests, 20% participation. |
